Sony's Phil Harrison do deliver GDC keynote ... will try not to copy Gates photo

The Game Developer's Conference announced today that Sony Computer Entertainment's Phil Harrison will be delivering the opening keynote on March 7 at this year's GDC in San Francisco. There are already odds posted at Vegas on whether or not Harrison will use Bill Gates' CES keynote address.

As reported earlier, Nintendo's Miyamoto will also be giving industry insiders a look into the mind of a gaming master on March 8. Which presentation would you rather attend? Miyamoto or Harrison?

Hmm, I dunno this is a real tough one. Listen to one of the most creative and influential minds to ever grace gaming let alone one of the most creative people of our time or Phil Harrison. I'm not going to even try and insult Phil, it'd be to easy.

So yah, Miyamoto.

Easy, Miyamoto (even if he's speaking Japanese)

Miyamoto without out a doubt. I think he would be entertaining and he really has been an innovator. I'd rather hear his insights over anyone regardless of how I feel on Nintendo.

Miyamoto here. What can I say? I'm a Ninty Fanboy. Although, after those awesome PGR 3 shots on Sony's website I'm considering a 360.

Fanboy or not, isn't there really only one answer to that question?

That's right, Frank Stallone.

Whoops, I'm an ass. Sorry for the double post.

Now for my "witty" post:

The Third Age of Video Games? Seriously? Frodo called... he wants his chronological terms back.

Harrison. Easy. I mean, what has Miyamoto done? Mario was a fad at best, Zelda is overrated and Pikmin was an embarrassment to Nintendo. If GDC wants to maintain some credibility they should totally scrap Miyamoto's keynote.

as if the pgr snafu earlier today wasn't enuf, it appears as if sony has used an image of peter moore to represent thier speaker at the GDC.

I hope Harrison (for his own sake) never looks at this page.

Especially after Rockvillain's post (hahahah).

I'm pretty sure we'll here you blathering all about Motorstorm soon enough, so yeah, I would go with Miyamoto.

Why ask this question? I'm pretty sure everyone who knows anything about video games will choose Miyamoto. Nothing against Harrison, but the guy's a legend. To be even within 100 feet of the man is every gamer's wet dream.

I am interested in knowing what Harrison says during his keynote, however. Sony is a huge part of gaming culture, whether people hate them or not.

Guys, I think he asked the question kind of... ironically? Rhetorically? NOT SERIOUSLY. The answer is obvious, he didn't actually expect anybody to pick Harrison over Miyamoto.

Miyamotowohoho! And yeah, I'm really hoping for an audio version of the talk (and any other from GDC for that matter). GDC Radio seems to be using old stuff, even if it's really interesting, I'm not up for waiting 2-5 years for this to come online through that distribution channel :p

I wonder if Phil Harrison will address why he looks so much like Lex Luthor from Smallville?
