Damn it Sony. How in God's name did it take you this long to come up with a good ad campaign? *Sigh* Well, at least now that you've found one you're milking it for all that it's worth, and you're milking it really well. On Friday Playstation Blog revealed the next ad in the "It only does everything" ad campaign and it is once again hilarious.

This one focuses on the awesomeness of the Blu-ray player within the mighty PS3 and how it could appeal to those of a more elderly age. Kevin Butler, the Sony "rep" in all the ads, nails it again. While I think I still find the price drop rumor commercial to be the funniest (and not just because Destructoid is in it) this one is definitely a fantastic addition.

This ad campaign isn't new. They started this with the release of MLB 09 The Show back in fucking March or something. It was Dustin Pedroia and that guy going back and forth, then they had Pedroia's agent, coach, yankees fans, shit like that. They were awesome but barely shown.

These PS3 ads are very, very good on the whole. If they had these ads at launch with a $400 model the gaming industry might look a lot different right now.

Yeah, I agree that they've finally nailed a perfect advertising campaign! I think they finally "grew up" and realized that it's not kids buying PS3's and it's not people on drugs (who else could those baby ads be aimed at)... it's average people.
... now if only they could do the same for their PSP ads.

(and yeah, the Sony Rep guy is AWESOME!)
