The North American branch of Sony has gone ahead with update 4.65 for the PlayStation 3, referring to it as a "minor update that improves stability during the use of some features." Does that protect the PlayStation Network against DDoS attacks? Sadly, no.
Considering I still use my PS3 sometimes for various reasons (read: most of my game collection), it's good to know Sony's still looking out for those of us who still use a perfectly good system for things.
