Dude. The delivery man dropped your tinfoil hats off at my house by mistake. Please come by and pick them up.
I dunno man I played the hell out of ME2 and had no problems with the 360 controller. Going to pick it up when it hits PS3 as well.
Given than 2 wasn't as good as 1, I'm betting 3 won't be as good either, especially if this shot is indeed from ME3. I don't like it at all, but I'll still buy it regardless since I have the other 2, and loved them immensely.
Playing on a PS3 controller seems like pure torture, so I'll stick to my 360 and a controller that doesn't give me arthritis after 20 minutes of play.
I guess we just have to wait and see...
I don't think they are going to change the art style for the final game in the trilogy, however it would seem appropriate for a spin off. Then again, the teaser does look graphically similar to some of the CGI ME2 trailers, except a little more grittier.
I thought ME2 would've dropped for PS3 by now though, it's almost been a year since it's release.
"Having to use the 360 controller to play ME2 was pure torture."
Using the DS3 controller to play ANYTHING is pure torture.
My first person shooters would like a word with your fighting games ;)
For the record, I was mostly joking, and I agree that the DS3's d-pad is waaay better than the 360's... and who wouldn't?! However, I don't play fighting games, so it doesn't bother me.
My main problem with the DS3 is the joystick placement; I played UT3 with a buddy this weekend and every time I tried circle-strafing counter-clockwise (push left stick to the right and right stick to the left), my thumbs touched. And I have small hands! Talk about annoying.
Hmm... I'm 6'4, pretty big hands.. and my thumbs definitely do not touch each other when I do that particular maneuver. Weird.
I've always preferred the DS3 controller over any xbox model, but Assassin's Creed (particularly the new MP) has always been really awkward for me on them for some reason.
I can have my wife take a picture next time I'm playing if you don't believe me :)
It could also be that my thumbs seem to slip from their centered positions because the DS3 joysticks are convex instead of concave (like they are on the 360). Like I said, not a big deal, just kind of annoying.
ME2 came out Januaru 26th, 2010. It's no surprise that they're getting ready to announce the third. It's not their fault the PS3 port is coming out a year after the fact.
Well, to be completely honest, I would consider playing the next Mass Effect even if it were released on Facebook as "Matriarch Benezia's Kitten Stomping Adventure Time". But yeah, you get my point. First Contact War would be awesome.
And for the love of god i hope its not some kind of multiplayer mass effect. Bioware does single player action RPG's. End of. No more. No less. And they do it well.
Chardan mentioned this, but that art style is very reminiscent of the ME2 CGI stuff. No big deal.
I hope it's ME3 and nothing else. No shitty multiplayer, no spin-off (although that would be cool too... I'd just rather have ME3 first).
Man, you put a lot of effort into this trolling business. Imagine if you used it for something productive.
I don't care that the clip was 2 seconds. The fact is, any Star Wars fan can tell you that this clip is not Star Wars. Hence, any true Mass Effect fan can tell you this is NOT Mass Effect. Sorry kids, but Bioware has other projects in the works other than Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
And the tweet about "Bioware reveals first footage of Mass Effect 3" can so easily be a simple typo. If you look to your standard keyboard which is used the world over, you will notice there is a line of #'s going from 1 - 9 and then 0. If you look closely, between the 2 key and the 4 key, there is a key with a strange symbol that looks like a backwards E with exagerrated curves. This is the "3" key.
It is also very possible that the person who divulged that "leak" simply got a little bit of a brain misfire. Mass Effect 2 for PS3...sometimes you get caught up in saying Mass Effect 3 by accident.
Calm down kids, ME3 is a ways off.
