The fact is it has less features than the original psp but some how it cost more? Does Sony think we believe that by removing the UMD drive the system somehow cost more to produce?
As a dutchy I would like to point out that the phrase "going dutch" exists for a damn good reason.
Although I probably will end up getting it if I consider it enough value for my cash.
But I have to say that it sounds like the ultimate excuse to overprice Sony products in Europe...

Sheesh, maybe when they're important enough to get away with selling half a controller, they can think like that.
Euro price is ridiculous. The US dollar price is average. Buying a PSP-3000 and a 16gb memory stick will run you around $250. Now if sony includes games or movies with the PSP-go for $250 you'd get more bang for your buck

Sure you mention Double Fine and point out how they only made Psychonauts; but Schafer has been behind so many other games (which of course you fail to mention while you bash his new studio). Maybe you weren't aware of his older games, I wouldn't know, but if you're going to type up a big rant you should look into those things.
Also, Sierra was the one that green lit Brutal Legend, Activision was the one that scrapped it because they couldn't exploit it like GH

since the get-go $ony has been making bad decisions with the PSP, this is no surprise that they are releasing their third console revision whithin three years, and yet they are doing this not out of some altruistic commitment to their user base, but another attempt to stop piracy, all the while ignoring what its genuine user base wants in the console.

I can't talk for the rest of Europe, but England is typically the place where cheap = buy, expensive = ignore.

@ Monodi good call, i have been looking for an excuse to get a wii, what with it only having a dozen or games that cater to my interest's......the backwards compatability, at no extra cost....something that diddnt even cross $ony's mind when making PSX games playable on their handheld....
@ black Nexus while normally i would agree with you, what with our consumer whorish culture, but in this economic climate i think gamers will only be shelling out the extra $$ for some major added value over the used PSP phat/slim/bright.....which the PSP GO! does not have the only real improvement i see is the added bluetooth, and even that isint all THAT usefull.....
I already bought a PS3. High price tags no longer have an effect on me. October 1st can't come soon enough.
I don't like handhelds so even if this thing gave blow jobs I would not buy one.

As much as I want one, I won't buy it until I can find it for the price of current PSPs. It probably won't even interest me if I can't hack it to play every generation of roms from NES-PSone.
as eruopean gamer i am used to gettting screwed with expensive software and hardware prices.
the ps3 is out of my reach with the insane 399 euro price tag.
and psp go seemed a nice handheld to me but 250 is way to much money for me.
