Sony marketing: We came, we saw, we stole your junk photo

Sony, let me break it down for you: You have an image problem. You continually f*ck up in the gaming public's eye. I'm here. I'm available. If you need someone with common sense to help you, then I am offering my common sense services. Why am I saying this? Well, it seems that Sony can't come up with their own images for their own games. They have to steal from Microsoft and the Xbox 360! From Major Nelson:

Until they fix it, you can see that clearly the main image used on Sony’s PSP Connect site to promote the Gran Turismo HD Preview was stolen borrowed from the Xbox 360 title Project Gotham Racing 3. You can find the original PGR3 shot they used over from Bizarre Creations here.

It appears as Sony saw they were caught and quickly took it all down, but not before good ol' Major got a screenshot of the deed

I love Crud's "It's always the client's fault..." I wish it were so.

I've worked for clients as Smirnoff Ice, BMW, and some major retailers here and a site won't go online before everything is double checked and there is approval from the other party, just to eliminate stupid mistakes like this one.

Not to compare cock size, but I also have a beefy client base: Fender, Borders, various rock bands, Mtv (but who hasn't worked for them, right?), and a slew of cities in Southern CA.
I worked for 3 different ad agencies in the last 15 years (and mistakes were often made, and fixed most of the time). Granted, since I struck out on my own, I've eliminated most of the stupid mistakes that plagued every ad agency I worked for. But I'm certain it's an ad agency that operates that site. And I'm certain it's crappy.
Anyone know the company name? Or if it's in CA?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
