Sony needs to be implementing this worldwide. I really think this is the beginning of something big for them, but they need a global force to test this concept for this generation.
I have heard the Vita is performing best in Europe... maybe they are fostering growth in their strongest region?
The 3ds is doing its best in Japan, where all the best content and service is provided. Maybe this is why?

I have a Vita and a small memory card, I would gladly pay $60 for Vita retail if I got the PS3 version for free...knowing sony Na won't get this anyway, they need to except that Europe doesn't care for the Vita and stop trying to win them over and just focus on where it is selling.
As someone who just bought a Vita, there are not enough words to describe how stupid it would be if they didn't roll this out worldwide. I probably wouldn't have Sound Shapes if it wasn't for the Crossbuy thing.
If you consider it a catch, Alan, you do have to buy the PS3 version to get the Vita version rather than the other way around, so you have to get the more expensive one. I think we all knew that'd be the case but yeah, confirmed on the PS blog. Also, it's a digital copy of the Vita game, so the whole memory card thing comes into play.
So yeah, there's the downsides. I'm still fucking thrilled.

well shit, if cross buy is not for NA I'm canceling the preorder for Battle Royale I made a few days ago. The only reason I made the preorder was due to the cross buy.

I don't see how pushing short term false hope and a lack of platform identity on Vita is a good thing on any level. Its a gimmick Sony would abandon the second everyone's development focus is on PS4.
Also, this does nothing for Vita-only owners, who are pretty much treated like second class citizens right now. Sony is still treating handhelds like accessories, not distinct platforms.

Does the Vita game allow you to installed into more than one Vita at a time? My understanding is that every vita digital game has two license. If that is the case I need to find a good friend has a PS3/vita and buys all the games. I can log on into his account and get the vita games for free or pay him/her a small amount.:)
