Sigh...
Killzone 3
The Last Guardian
Pixeljunk Shooter 2
Uncharted 3
Those are the only ones I really care about, but I'm sure I'll at least rent some of the others.
On the 360 side, I like:
Crytek's "Codename: Kingdoms"
Gears of War 3
Halo: Whatever (we all know there will be one)
Ms 'Splosion Man
XCOM
Between all those and the half dozen or so multiplats I'm watching, it looks like I'll be a busy boy on both consoles this year... again :)
Anyway, I really dog what Sony is doing. If the can also manage to support Move in a way that's meaningful to core gamers, then it looks like it'll be my goto console of 2011. Xbox you had a great half decade but Microsoft seems to be more interested in kinect and timed exclusives than first party support. But who knows maybe they'll surprise us. But as it stands most of my 1st half gaming will be PS3. Dead Space 2 & Portal 2 lean towards the PS3, then exclusives like Killzone & Little Big Planet.
Although if I get Bulletstorm it'll be on the 360 so there's that.
inFAMOUS 2, Pixeljunk 2, Uncharted 3... ah.
Kind of wary on that Ratchet and Clank game...it looked...eh. Well, I do have 3 friends who'd probably get it so it might be fun.
And Heroes On The Move was a better title IMO.
Sooo much money :(
But whatever. God knows I'll still put down the cash for Uncharted 3 like the rest of 'em.
You think they're going to release a Halo game a year after Reach? Or are you meaning we'll see another "Halo Wars" next year?
Alot of awesome releases. I think this might be the year of the PS3, god damn.
Considering maybe No more Heroes... but that one is a maybe for me
For anyone that doesn't know the series... ar tonelico 2 was arguably the best RPG on the PS2, and that's a lot of competition.
I think it was sort of a fluke that it turned out so well, because NIS doesn't always nail it on their Gust localizations. A lot of their other games go overboard with grinding and plot that's too lighthearted or slow-moving to be interesting. But that game turned out to be very western-friendly.
I'll be watching Qoga eagerly; it's reassuring to hear some official confirmation that it will be translated. Maybe lightning can strike twice.
1) The ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection (Spring)
2) The Last Guardian (Holiday)
3) Pixeljunk Shooter 2 (2011)
4) Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (November 1)
5) Yakuza 4 (March 15)
Everything else is crap.
But woot on ico and shadow of colossus compilation pack, last guardian, motorstorm apoc and twisted metal (hopefully)
Bungie won't, but MS still owns the IP and I'm pretty sure 343 has hinted at a game in the pipe. Whether or not it'll be a FPS is the only question.
Journey, ICO/SOTC Collection, Infamous 2, Killzone 3, The Last Guardian, Uncharted 3, SOCOM 4. These are the MUST-HAVES.
A close eye will be on Sorcery. If that has a great story it may be the game that propels me to get a Move. :)
* Hyperdimension Neptunia (February)
* The ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection (Spring)
* inFAMOUS 2 (2011)
* Journey (2011)
* Killzone 3 (February 22)
* The Last Guardian (Holiday)
* LittleBigPlanet 2 (January 18)
* MotorStorm Apocalypse (Spring)
* Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One (Fall)
* Resistance 3 (September 6)
* Twisted Metal (2011)
* Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (November 1)
* Yakuza 4 (March 15)
My wallet is f*****
Hyperdimension Neptunia
Journey
LittleBigPlanet 2
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
and a bunch of other stuff too, but those games are multi-plat
My year is going to be mostly engulfed by these awsome PS3 Titles and the 3DS, there's so many good titles coming out that it's going to take more than a year to beat them all
Hyperdimension Neptunia
The ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection
inFAMOUS 2
The Last Guardian
LittleBigPlanet 2
PlayStation Move Heroes
Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One
Sorcery
Twisted Metal
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
These are all the games I will definitly be playing.
I'm gonna wait to hear reviews for Heroes on the Move (the real title) to see if they're positive. If so, purchase for me but still a little skeptical. Same with Sorcery. I've never played Twisted Metal but I'll give that a rent and see if I like it. Journey sounds awesome but I'm gonna demo it first (no disrespect, just cautious).
What I want now is for Sony and other companies to start announcing PS2 collections for the PS3. They would build up Sony exclusivity list. Give us Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Ratchet & Clank, Jak and Daxter, and Kingdom Hearts collections!!
