This video with SCEA president Jack Tretton pretty much encompasses everything that is wrong with Sony this generation. It's like everyone knows the PS3 bombed, and they simply won't admit that things could have gone a little better. I suppose admitting you were wrong is like admitting you were wrong, but I think Microsoft has proved a little humility goes a LONG way with gamers.
 
Enjoy, or, you know... don't, if you invested in Sony stock this year.

Why would he admit he was wrong? That's about as productive as a captain of a ship screaming at the top of his lungs, "Oh SHIT WE"RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" as it hit rough waters.

E3 in a day! I hope everyone shows off something good that I can be excited about in 07.

I was expecting the Attack of the Show interview not a professional discussion on CNBC. Quite surreal seeing as they're talking about a video game console in a serious tone and I'm all for it.

Cypher, brilliant.

In Tretton's defense, he's probably on a short leash. There's probably not much he CAN say, when confronted with damning questions and facts. I blame his higher-ups, those who lay down the guidelines for him, because you know he's got to play along with them if he wants to keep his job. It's not so much Jack, but the organization itself that is jacked up (no pun intended). They need to take that long, humbling walk back to getting on the public's good side. They're only making it worse, the longer they put it off.
