Sony Europe announces EyePet 2 photo

EyePet isn't even out in North America yet, but that hasn't stopped Sony from announcing a sequel to its flawed-but-adorable virtual pet. A second installment of the PlayStation Eye game was revealed by Sony Europe boss George Fornay, who stated that the game was currently in development and may even see the light of day this year.

Any details further to that are currently unknown. I didn't realize the game had sold enough in Europe to warrant a sequel, but there you go. The original was alright, but it needed a lot more work put into it. Perhaps a second attempt will see some of that potential realized.

EyePet 2 annoncé et prévu pour bientôt [Gamekyo]

There's also going to be a new 3-D gremlins movie. Lots of news about small, disturbing looking critters, today.

Even though this will in no way effect me in the short run, I agree with your last point. New iterations or sequels to things that utilize tech like this are paramount to helping developers and programmers figure out what the hell they can actually do with said tech, and how they can do it well.
Still, it's a flippin' virtual monchichi, so I'll just wait and see.

I honestly wanted to try it out but I never saw any retail copies anywhere in my area. I guess I'll have to play with my cat instead.

You know, i quite like my eyepet, Gizmo.

It's not something i play on my own, but if friends with kids come round they always wanna play with him.

Sure it's got it's flaws and sometime irritating problems, but overall it's a clever, cute little time killer.

My friend got this for Christmas because it came with her PS3 bundle. Her parents made her play it.

She hasn't been the same since.

@flabzilla - it jumps, trying to grab it!

@carl412 - thanks man, i needed some backup.

Seriously though, i've taught gizmo to draw cocks, write "fuck you" draw tits etc and when left alone he draws them all over my floor.

The flower growing is ghey and borked, but apart from that it's cool as.

Making him cars and planes and shit is always fun and the holographic type toy menu thing is fucking cool as.

Sure he's not life-changing but if you give it a chance the eyepet can be pretty cool.

I need to dress him a mr dtoid and make him write some shit so i can take a pic for this site....

I've been wanting to get this game since last november when it was supposed to be released. Why is it that Europe gets it without Arc, but in the US, we have to wait for Arc to be released before we get this? Seriously borked.

Why the hell do they have human baby faces??? XD XD

Its more like, little children, in fur costumes, that you pet and make them... Purr.... And soak them wet with your hose, and foam them up with white stuff, which makes them shiver in wellbeing (im just describing what actually happens in the game when you shower them)..

lol its so nasty.. Pedo-game #1

Now I don't have to buy the first one, and I can wait for the improved game instead! Thanks for the early warning Sony. That's a smart business decision. Seriously though, I'm not planning on getting any of these games.

Or maybe an awkward wet dream.

Yeah!

That's for getting Holly Badman 2 a couple of days after we get the first! And Demon's Souls!

Bet you want some of our hot monkey-cat-dog action now, don't cha?

Seriously, they fixed a lot of the bugs of the game through patching, and it's a hell of a lot less annoying. A sequel would be kinda cool, but I bought the first with the Eye Cam, so I'd need a reason to buy the 2nd.

I'm VERY excited about this. I found out about Warhammer online early on in my time at school, waited years only be disappointed by a PVP-fest with very little depth. I REALLY hope THQ understands how make an MMO. I'm worried they might try and make themselves unique with some irritating gimmick, instead of letting the general interest of the title and lore do it for them.
Best regards, Anna, CEO of diskless iscsi and itunes download
