Don't generalize people on the internet or people at Sony. You would just look stupid when the reality of how different those people are in real life hits you.
I see the good in people. :)
I also assumed that was straight forward enough to avoid misinterpretation by anyone on this site. I stand corrected.
Am I going assume the worst and condemn Sony before they have the chance to actually screw up themselves, yes and no.... I am going to be watching them with far more scrutiny than I was previously. However until this Anti-Consumer DRM wetdream is actually a thing I'm not going to go grabbing my pitchfork and passing out torches.
Why oh why aren't digital downloads catching on but 2nd hand sales are so popular.
Its a mystery
Do you think ea cares if you didn't pay Sony "directly" for your PlayStation as long as you pay them "directly" for their game?
A little ot I know, but it is something I've always wondered...^_^;
I totally agree! For example I first got Uncharted 1 as a 2nd hand game to give it a try and after that bought Uncharted 2 and 3 new when they came out. Without that first cheap incentive I probably never would have got to buy and play the sequels.
Although regardless of the outcome, it's refreshing to hear some genuinely good news and ideas coming from Sony. I'm starting to think they might not have their head completely up their ass after all.
I want this to cause either Microsoft or Sony to end up like Sega. Completely blocking used games from consoles and thinking consumers will buy it just shows their arrogance.
Their arrogance shall be their downfall. Thousands of jobs will be lost. And no one else has anything to lose except for the console manufacturers and their employees.
I just don't understand why the games don't come supplied with a proviso. any second hand retail of the game requires a small royalty fee paid to the game producers.
this would end up destroying the games industry as shops close down because they can't afford to pay the rent.
I do feel like playstation plus members should get a free pass on the issue, though.
And if the market doesn't change to adjust to that much like Steam did, I'm not going to buy a PS4 (or the next Xbox). I'll buy a gaming rig, a Vita, and an Android tablet, and that will be more than enough gaming for me. You can keep your anti-consumer bullshit.
