I'd really like it if they did the same thing the 3DS did and include a drop in recharge stand with every console, that makes charging so much easier.
That grip with extra battery idea sounds sweet. Some kind of UMD extension would be great too, I'd love to have my PSP collection playable on Vita without the need to repurchase from PSN.
I can't wait to hear more about the system from TGS, hopefully they've learned from Nintendo's mistake and have prepared at least a half decent launch lineup. With a second wave of support not too far behind.

If this game had a little battery attachment that included a line of 4 AA battery slots...I would love this system forever.

I kind of assumed UMD slot was going to be in it. That's my number 1 choice then, because I missed out on the psp, and I'm not too interested in dealing with digital copies.
A midi app, I mean, that touchscreen has multiple inputs detection right? Would be awesome to have some music making app available for it, as long as they include a beer.

why havent game companies figured this out by now? mp3 capabilities doesn't take much, if you tweak the OS of most game systems a little then you can play songs from a storage device, So its not that hard and it would make gaming devices into true mutlimedia devices which would put Ipods out of business, just think being able to play music just as well as a an ipod but then being able to play amazing games.
@Scissors-I need a cradle because plugging a cord into something is so difficult, unless you are blind, morbidly obese, or retarded.
The touch interface should be able to burst into flames and emit the smell of bacon from the screen. Also the system should come with a do-it-yourself carved cantaloupe footwear kit.
If someone(s) who knows Japanese could submit a peripheral of such: L&R Triggers that double as grip risers to keep your fingers from accidentally swiping the rear touch pad, that'd be cool.
