So, you've read Jim's review of Sonic Unleashed, pondered purchasing the title for under $30 during an Amazon sale, decided against it, and now you are questioning how wise of a decision that was.
Well, here's your chance to find out: a demo for Sonic Unleashed is now on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. For the sake of convenience, click on this fancy link to add the demo to your Xbox 360's queue; it'll begin downloading the next time you power on your console.
Back when the the demo for Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) first came out, I remember playing it and getting extremely frustrated by how many times I kept falling to my watery grave. Just talking about it makes me want to watch those damned Linkin Park/Sonic YouTube vids.
In a way, this Sonic Unleashed demo is reminiscent of that dreadful experience, as I also fell to my death in this game while attempting to grind rails. However, there's one huge difference: in Sonic Unleashed, I had fun, and lots of it.

"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Sonic goes fast...how hard is that to get?
No mr. Fantastic arm moves...
SOMEONE KILL IT WITH FIRE
Sterling put it right on RFG! - in the 2D games, speed wasn't the core, speed was a reward for choosing the right paths. Like when Mirror's Edge flows if you get the timing right, or in Prince of Persia... also, as I said from the time of the first screenshots, THE FUCKING CAMERA IS TOO CLOSE! When running from left to right, Sonic is packed in the right corner, and you can not possibly see what's about to come up. Sad thing is, stupid people will keep buying it, and Sega will continue making shitty Sonic games.
Maybe Sonic was destined to be 16 bit and nothing else.
