Sonic Universe says, 'Make way for the Chaotix, son!'
"Maaaaaan, Mobius sure is boring around he-- *URK*!" While the upcoming Archie Sonic Universe story arc revolves Silver the Hedgehog and his Secret Freedom Fighters, the arc following that will star the OG gangsta crew, the Chaotix. The boys haven't seen much action as a full team since Sonic #200 over three years ago, so it's about time they get themselves back in order. Scratch that. The Chaotix were featured in Sonic Universe #9-12. Nevertheless, it's been almost three years since then. The first part of "All for One" kicks off in Sonic Universe #46, as Espio, Vector, and Charmy embark on a quest to track down their missing buddies Mighty and Ray -- the two left to look for Mighty's sister back in Sonic #212 (see gallery). For those of you who don't remember, Mighty and Ray were Sonic's co-stars in the Japan-only SegaSonic the Hedgehog arcade game, with Mighty's returning in Knuckles' Chaotix. Sega likes to pretend these two don't exist, for one reason or another -- gotta make room for well-developed characters like Big the Cat and Cream the Rabbit. "All for One" is still months away, but Archie will have more details to share on the new storyline during San Diego Comic-Con next week. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I remember Chaotix. It's nice to see them willing to plumb the depths of the Sonic's shitty friends roster. Fun fact @TheOGB, Charmy was originally 16 in Knuckles Chaotix in Japan, but he was remade into a 6 year old in Heroes. As such, the Sonic comic eventually made him retarded (In issue 176 or something, Robotnik captured everyone and put them in his "Egg Grapes," which were meant to suck the life force out of people in order to power up his city. Charmy was his first subject. Sonic and friends saved them all in time, but Charmy was exposed to the machine's power for just long enough to turn into an idiot.) Why all the hate? Archie's Sonic comics are pretty awesome. I'd even say on par with some of the stuff marvel has been coming out with lately. Hey everyone, let's play a game. Go to google images, type in your name followed by "the hedgehog" post your results.I can virtually guarantee everyone of you has a awful looking OC attached to your name.
