SEGA is really rolling out the red carpet for Sonic the Hedgehog's 20th anniversary. In addition to Sonic Generations and a limited edition figurine, the publisher is also putting out a commemorative soundtrack, featuring music from the first two classic games.
The soundtrack will contain all the music from Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, as well as a reprint of demo tapes from composer Masato Nakamura. It'll be due out this Summer and has only been announced for Japan thus far, but hopefully we can get it on this side of the world too.

I am disappoint.
If you still have the CD, the soundtrack was stored as standard CD audio tracks on it.
All the soundtracks are amazing. You don't hear soundtracks like those anymore.
I don't have the CD anymore, which is why I'm asking for so Sonic R love in this soundtrack.
In any case, considering how the Sonic series robbed several months out if my childhood, I MUST get this.
Sega should just get hold of Andy Gillion and create the most epic Sonic Album ever. Fans would jizz in their shorts and Sega would have done something right regarding sonic for once. If they really want to make Sonic cool again, they should contact this guy.

I guess Sonic 3/& Knuckles will be included in the ULTIMATE Sonic the Hedgehog 20th anniversary soundtrack which will be announced sometime after this soundtrack is released.
