Sonic takes on a monkey in new Samba De Amigo trailer

     Samba De Amigo

Sega has released the first of its gameplay trailers showing off the new Wii version of Samba De Amigo in action. As you can see, the company is continuing to mash up its IPs, Superstar Tennis style. First we found out that Ulala was going to be in the new Samba, and how Sonic's been dragged out to shamelessly parade himself in front of the masses ... again.

Sonic aside, Samba De Amigo looks as bright and creepy as always. You can hit the jump for another trailer as well, but I must ask -- who is looking forward to this? The Dreamcast original was something of a cult classic but there doesn't seem to be as much hype for the Wii remake as I would have expected. Is it the platform it's on, or are people just that cynical about Sega these days? Curiosity must be sated!

My problem with it is that the songs are all seriously cringe worthy. Call me elitist, but I wouldn't caught DEAD dancing to Feeling Hot Hot Hot, Vida Loca, or friggin Mambo #7. UGH!

Sonic was confirmed a while back, anyway this will have to go down in price before I get it.

Yea, I wouldn't pay full price but I'm definitely interested in it. Simple ryhtm games like this and Elite Beat rock my world.

I'm just pissed that Wii Motion Plus was unveiled long after this game was already in development. Even in the latest Nintendo Power, which seems to have had a blurb on Samba in each of the last six issues, they continue to mention the controls are still a little off. Gearbox is doing their damnedest to get it right I'm sure, but that's discouraging.
