Sonic, Streets of Rage, and other 3DS re-releases dated

3D Classics Series

There was a time when I would load up my 3DS with re-releases of games I already owned because I needed an excuse to use the system. That time is long gone now that Pokemon X/Y is devouring my free time and Animal Crossing: New Leaf swoops in for whatever remains.

If you are looking to turn your handheld into a nostalgia machine, Sega would like a quick word. Its line of 3D remakes has been dated and priced for North America and Europe:

  • November 28: 3D Space Harrier and Super Hang-On
  • December 5: 3D Sonic the Hedgehog and 3D Altered Beast
  • December 12: 3D Ecco the Dolphin and 3D Galaxy Force II
  • December 19: 3D Shinobi III and 3D Streets of Rage

These titles are going to be $5.99/€4.99/£4.49 a piece. I'm wondering if Space Harrier will be worth it for the 3D effect, which isn't something I typically care about. Could be neat, though.
