Sonic Shuffle re-trademarked by Sega, could be nothing photo

Browsing through the new trademarks like we do, we see that Sega's Sonic Shuffle pops up. If you remember, this was Sega's four-player party game answer to Nintendo's Mario Party, originally released for the Dreamcast. It wasn't the greatest game ever, but I was a Sega whore back in the day, so I bought it.

Maybe I'll be buying it again? Or, remembering how boring it was, maybe not. Could this re-trademarking of the title be for protection, or is it plans for a re-release? Mark this down as a rumor for now.

It would fit as a Wii game, I guess. Substitute button mashing for waggle? I don't think that would make it better, though. Sega, there's much cooler games to dig back up.

No matter how niche it can get at times, shooters old and new come out of the woodwork in the most unexpected of places, from Steam to legacy consoles. One such release is Neo XYX, a new (yes, in 2014) game for the Sega's last console, making this the second Dreamcast release this year. It's also the best.more

Shenmue: from peach tree prototype to Virtua Fighter RPG to final release

At Yu Suzuki's GDC postmortem of Shenmue, he fully detailed the classic Dreamcast game's development, from an early prototype to a Virtua Fighter RPG to its final beloved form. Many details, images, and concepts were shown for the first time ever, which was a total thrill for me as a huge fan of the game and Suzuki's other works. more
