Oh Sonic the Hedgehog, has your anus not completely caved in yet from the almighty buggering that Sega has been inflicting on you for the past ten years? Apparently not, as a new range of toys are heading our way to coincide with the release of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.
So far we only have two blurry images of Sonic and Shadow along with their vehicles of choice, but the Sonic fanboy in me kind of wants to own at least one of these. Of course, Sega is more than welcome to send me some so I can review them, although my glorified frontpage begging never seems to work with Sega like it works with other companies.
At any rate, I actually thought that Sega Superstars Tennis was a pretty good game, so I have a little bit of hope that this racing spin-off be at least be of decent quality. We shall have to wait and find out, of course.

Not only do I think Resident Evil 4 was the worst of the series, or that Two Worlds was better than Oblivion and Crash Bandicoot series is better than Mario these days...but I also think Sonic games have only improved, the only really bad one being Sonic Adventure 2.
It's lonely in my world, not a gamer in sight with my views.
Anyway, been a long time since a good kart racer came along (not on a handheld and Mario characters get on my nerves). In fact, I don't remember seeing a good kart racer on a console personally since the Crash Bandicoot ones like five or six years ago.
Sega Tennis game was pretty good...at least for being tennis. I think odds are good that the game will come out pretty good...for a kart racer. Fingers crossed, I'm interested.

When did we forget that Sonic's a popular kid icon nowadays? Of course there are gonna be toys for him. What kid doesn't love toys of their favorite cartoon heroes?
Also, asking why he's in a car has become a really asinine question now. It doesn't matter if he's the fastest thing alive; if you want to get into a kart racer, you need some kind of automobile. Otherwise, you would be smashed and/or knocked off the track by everyone else who has to use a vehicle because they're not animals with magic Jesse Owens powers. That's kinda what SUMO found out when they tried to have Sonic running on foot for the game.
Still, it's fun to make fun of Sonic, mostly because it's easy.
