Following this morning's news concerning Sonic Generations, SEGA has revealed that it will kick off Sonic's 20th anniversary celebration this Thursday, April 7. Could there be a new game announcement? We don't know, that's what's so exciting about it, probably.
Something "big" is supposedly coming to Sonic the Hedgehog's Facebook page, so keep an eye on that to find out what's going down.

In all fairness, I think the 3D Sonic games are slowly getting better. Sonic the Hedgehog < Sonic Unleashed < Sonic Colors. I thought Sonic Colors was somewhere between average and decent. Baby steps.
On Sonic's 20th SEGA's going to announce a game that runs on Sonic Unleashed/Colors engine for all three platforms, and it will include remakes of classic Sonic levels from Sonic the Hedgehog up to Sonic Adventure 2. It will also feature Tails and Knuckles, since Sonic Colors was basically an engine test for this 20th anniversary game and some of the powers in that game were similar to Tails and Knuckles
It should turn out to be very good since its been in development for a while and SEGA's finally realized that sales on all their products are directly proportional to quality of Sonic the Hedgehog games. They hired a marketing firm who gladly pointed that out to them around the time Sonic Colors was first started

Jim gave two of the three Sonic games released last year at least an 8 out of 10. I don't think he wants Sonic to fail at all.

Really? Resident Evil isn't a cute cuddly character with millions of fans around the world. It doesn't even have the same characters in each iteration. Whose birthday would it be? Chris Redfields?
