Actually, the "snowboarding" first level in Sonic Adventure 2 was always great so we'll see what it looks like in HD.
Now, Sega...SA2 for XBLA!
Also, Shadow? I don't mind but the potential shitstorm and bitching from 'hardcore' fans are not something I look forward to.
Shadow is awesome, he died to save us all! He can also teleport.
And no, the whole Shadow with guns thing never happened.
That's probably why it's called the Dreamcast "Era".. as in the period of time that involved the Adventure-style gameplay, not to mention that the Dreamcast was out and fighting at the same time as Heroes was released on the last-generation consoles.
Much like how the Classic "Era" is defined by the games that resemble the classic style, and how the Modern "Era" is defined by the games that have come out on the current-generation consoles.
on a serious note, that was a awesome move by Sega
HIS SHOES WERE LIKE ROCKETS!!!!
Pretty excited for this game. Haven't played a Sonic game in a long time, but not because of lack of interest. I still really want to play Sonic Colors.
In which case:
"Sonic Generations trailer goes Gamecube on our asses"
fixed.
However I have no idea why they would want to include any mention of Sonic heroes in there.
Honestly, while I like the first SA, half the game kinda sucked. Knuckles, Amy, and Big(especially)'s stages weren't very fun to play. Tails and Gamma's stages, while good, were incredibly short. Knuckles is a strange case since I liked his SA2 stages...
As for Shadow, I never thought he was awesome, but he did have some cool moments. I don't have him, but I really only liked him in SA2 and Battle. I fucking despise his fanboys, though. I'd much rather have Tails, Knuckles, or, hell, even Amy playable before him, though.
Oh, and the trailer was bitchin'. I'm seriously hoping for a revamped Hydrocity Zone. That was, like, the only good water-based zone in any Sonic game ever. It's one of my favorites overall, actually.
