Oh you got me, I thought that Mushroom Hill Zone was really for the console version, the thumbnail doesn't show that it was the 3DS version.
The music in the trailer is from a Kele song called Tenderoni. A word that Wikipedia describes as "slang terminology used to describe one's younger male or female love interest or someone too young to talk to or become involved with."
Knowing this, I have now decided this game is about a tale of forbidden love between old Sonic and new Sonic. And it has my attention.

Well, I was already down for the 3DS version, but the console version keeps looking better and better. Here's hoping!
I really hate that music, I wish they'd stop using it. I hope this game is fun, though I am still disappointed they intentionally fucked up the "classic" gameplay, and made "classic" Sonic look and behave more like a chibi modern Sonic than how he actually looked and behaved during the classic era.
