Well I'm not really surprised to hear that a new Sonic is coming to a Nintendo handheld (seeing as how they usually review better and are of better quality overall), but the Rayman news? That's both surprising and very exciting to hear.
What are the odds Sonic Generations on the 3DS will be done by Dimps?

The Rayman thing would be really awesome if true, although I'd like to know why - if true - they haven't mentioned this yet. Still don't really get why SEGA decided not to release an anniversary game on the Wii though, given the sales (though I'm sceptical regarding the quality of Sonic games these days).

I was hoping the new rayman would be on the Wii. Gorgeous 2D platformers are a good fit for the console.
good news about Sonic generations, it's perfect for the 3DS. Now to chose which version of Rayman Origins to get.

Is that confirmed or what you hope? As much as I despised Sonic Advance and Rush, it was mainly level design, so it could work if it was still Sonic MD/Sonic DC levels.

To be honest, I just bought the PS1 version of Rayman about a week ago and played it for the first time yesterday and I have to say...that if this new Rayman is half as good as that PS1 version it'll still be amazing. I haven't been able to put it down. :)
Hey. I'll take Rayman. The DS needs something other than the giant Fuck You from everybody who's already dropped the DS like a bad habit to work on the 3DS.
They're doing rayman for the wii because I need something to...buy for my wii... I am excited for 3ds sonic as well

Alright! Rayman Orgins on the DS! I hope it's true and not a mislabeling or something, as Rayman is awesome, the DS is awesome, and a Rayman platformer on DS would omega awesome!

I will never get the appeal of Rayman but most people don't know why I still hold out on the Sonic franchise so fair is fair.

I can see them pull off Sonic generations on the 3DS. Just like KH birth by sleep on the psp and Infinity Blade on the iphone, don't put your hd consoles in too much high regard.

Here's hoping that Sonic 3DS has Dimps as the developer. The Hedgehog Engine really isn't to my tastes and I far prefer Dimps's more zoomed-out 3D Sonic engine.
Lukewarm about Time Crisis? Someone missed playing Razing Storm in the arcades and forgot about/never experienced playing Time Crisis 2 over and over and over again and never getting tired of it.

Sonic generations 3ds?!?! wasn't they're reasoning for not putting this game on the Wii was because "Sonic generations was made for an HD console" WTF? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's coming to the 3ds, I just feel like Sega missed a great opportunity. Sonic colors on the Wii was amazing, and if they're already developing a 3ds version, why not just make it for the wii as well?
I was hyped to see Skyward Sword's release date. I can't get the link to work, but I think it was Oct 1st, or something like that. Also listed was an August or September release for Star Fox 3DS. Kid Icarus, however, was listed quite a bit earlier than what I expected. I think it was June. I wonder how much of this will pan out.
Rayman is my favourite game series. Right now I'm pretty much ecstatic, but at the rate they've set so far, Rayman 4 probably won't be out until 2019. Seriously, the time period between Rayman 3 and Rayman Origins was eight years.

I can't speak for the majority, but the thing which attracts me most about the Rayman games is the general 'vibe' produced by the confluence of their other elements. It's not just the graphics or the music or the story etc; it's the artful way these things come together to create a sort of grand atmosphere that makes the games more than the sum of their parts. Rayman 1 is like a Salvador Dalí painting brought to life, and Rayman 2 is like some sort of modern fairytale. I'd place Rayman on the same plinth as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Oddworld and MediEvil (all masterpieces of mood and tone in my view). Sorry if I'm not conveying this well; it's difficult to sum up an interactive audiovisual experience in just a few words. I suppose Rayman as a series is not suitable for all mindsets; you need to be a certain sort of person to appreciate these games fully.
