Hopefully consoles don't get priced too differently. Also it is a little sad that platformers are pretty much expected to sell at a discount nowadays, but I'd be lying if I personally said that I'd pay 60 dollars for a platformer (that includes Mario)

Oooooooh. No word on a Steam release? I don't mind using other clients (other than Origin), but I prefer keeping all my games on my Steam account.

The Wii games are priced at $49.99, and those are games I would gladly pay full price for. Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and the Galaxy games are all quality titles. I don't think the platformer genre should be treated differently.

Thanks! It looks like there are some pre-order bonuses on Steam as well which is good to hear.
My issue is choosing between this cheap and welcoming alternative, or getting the expensive imported PS3 Collector's Edition that Sega doesn't want to bring to America for some reason. Ah decisions...

@Hasney: The Beta thing that appeared in June, it wasn't people playing Generations on the PC. It was an entry that was added to the Steam registry database, everything that might be added to the Steam store in the future is added to the database first.
@Ace829: As shown in the TSSZ page that Hasney posted, an entry about Sonic Generations pre-order was added to the Steam registry last friday, even showing pre-order bonuses in there (those pre-order bonuses being several Sonic games that are already available on Steam).
The game should appear available for pre-order in the Steam store itself sometime in the next few days or weeks.

The price is tempting, but Sega has shown to be incompetent when it comes to PC ports. I hope sega doesn't drop the ball with this port.
All Sonic PC games have been rubbish port jobs, except maybe Sonic Mega Collection.

The specs are nothing special. The price puts me off though, since it's half the price of the console versions. Is there a problem with it?Did they leave something out?
wow good news, i have a 360 as well so ill pick the game it runs best on. Price doesnt bother me so since I usually wait for games to drop to the £20 - 25 mark before I buy them.
Well I now know which platform to get it on. Sorry ps3, maybe some other time. Hopefully it's programmed better than Rage XD.
No, sorry, removing online from Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing was utter bullshit. Stopped me and my friends who don't live near picking up 8 copies between us.
