SEGA, you know I love you, but perhaps one day you'll learn that less is more. The publisher always seems to produce a dozen trailers for every game it releases, revealing absolutely everything, and Sonic Generations is no exception.
In this video, we get closer looks at Robotnik, Silver, Shadow, Metal Sonic and Chaos as the bosses and rivals get examined. Are there any actual surprises in this game? Who knows?
In any case, Sonic Generations is less than a month out. Will it be a triumph or yet another letdown? I can't wait to find out either way!

I wish they did this for End of Eternity. It took me 15 minutes to realize how to play that game properly. Awesome game though.
Why Silver of all characters? He's one of the worst Sonic characters of all time, and he's from the worst Sonic game of all time. Oh well. Whatever floats your boat Sega! As long as I don't have to play as him I'm okay.
"Bend reality as Silver." "Okay. I'll give it a... This gameplay mechanic does not work at all. Gg Sonic Team."
Rather unfortunate Classic Knuckles didn't make an appearance, seeing as how the boss balance is uneven now (Classic Sonic: 2, Modern Sonic: 4), but oh well, least everything looks epic
im looking forward to this, I missed the timeslot for playing the xbl demo, and dont have any ninty hardware atm so i cant play colours and only have that piece of shit from a diarrhettic pig Sonic 4 on the 360. (im late to the next gen sonic party and only got to play this recently, ive played fan games on flash which were better)
Did classic Sonic just kill Metal Sonic in one attack by kicking him in the face? Huh. I wonder if its older brother, Mecha Sonic, will make an appearance.
Anywho, I really hope the story's kept to a minimum here and is tongue-in-cheek. Placing importance on the story and loads of characters over the gameplay is something that tends to happen in the non-(completely) 2D Sonic games...
It really confuses me that there are two Sonics and TwoTails @_@ I mean they're basically the same characters only slightly different design (and in this case that's literal), are they THAT different that you need to differentiate them in the same game?? (Sonic's fandom really is kinda crazy lol)
Looks fun! (I wish Robotnik was the Sonic Sat AM version, he's truly badass there) Let's see what happens when it comes out.
@Thunder Monti Then why comment on a "baby" game? And Call of Duty? Really? I respect your opinion to like CoD, but saying that real men play CoD is laughable.

One of the problems with most narrative-focused games is that after you've played through them once, most of the surprises are over. The Yawhg, the next game from Damian Sommer (Friendship in 4 Colors), looks to circumve...
A lot of classic shmups also happen to work as metaphors for insemination. The last level of R-Type Final immediately comes to mind. Wouldn't you know it, but there is a guy who's taken that theme even further, wit...

I'd like to pay Richard Hofmeier to talk to me about videogames. During last week's Sup Holmes (now on iTunes), he told me about so many great things, like the free online "game" Geoguessr, surrealist interactive text auteur...
Do you remember your first holographic Pokemon card? I do, it was a Dewgong. I loved that card; it meant so much to me. In an apparent attempt to capture that same feeling, Valve has introduced Foil cards to its new line of S...
