Hopefully one of these new updates will be them fixing the broken level design. Game has no "flow" to it. Not nearly as smooth as the genesis sonic games.

Already have this on the Gems Collection disc, so I'm good without rebuying it, especially if it's not a physical copy. If they for some reason release a physical disc, I may pay attention.

That's on WiiWare. Virtual Console doesn't have a size limit, and there are SegaCD and TurboGrafxCD games that go over 100MB, like Dracula X.

Pssh. If they could put games like Ys I&II, Lord of Thunder, and Rondo of Blood on the virtual console, they could do Sonic CD.
WOW! Gonna get this day 1, if only they could release SONIC CD as a part of a collection on disc, that would awesome!

See now the special thing about this port is that, unlike the others, this will sport many wonderful features, like legit widescreen, options for Sonic 2/3 spindash/physics, JP soundtrack, and legit looping. And no I am being completely serious

Why no Nintendo systems or PCs? I mean, I suppose the Virtual console is not a great place for downloadable titles... but the Android?

Since this is port and not an emulated title, the virtual console can't apply to this. Therefore, the limit of 40MB for wiiware is definitely what's stopping it from appearing on Wii.

There's nothing stopping Sega from releasing the original on VC. They can even use the Japanese soundtrack if they want to.

I wish it had both soundtracks, as I vastly preferred the US one (the press release confirms the port has the Japanese soundtrack).

sonic CD is the most overrated sonic game ever. it almost like that piece of shit halo 3. give me sonic 3 & knuckles 2.5d remake. ill buy that for 300$. it doesnt matter whats the price. sonic 3 & knuckles is the best sonic game ever.

Anyone saying that any other version that they have is good or just as decent. Prepare for disappoint, this will not be emulated like other classic Sonic games, this is being truly recoded from scratch (unlike Sonic 1 on the gba which had horrible effort) with the "Retro Sonic Engine".
