We already learned that Sonic CD would be hitting Xbox Live Arcade, thanks to Microsoft's announcement earlier this week. But now that it's formally been announced, it appears that Xbox 360 owners aren't the only ones to get Sonic love. It appears that the re-release of Sonic CD is coming to basically, well, everything.

By everything I mean Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, iPhone, iPod, iPad, PC, Android, and Windows Phone. (Yes, Windows Phone.) The game will feature enhanced widescreen graphics, as well as Achievements and trophies where applicable. The iOS version will support "special iOS features," whatever that could mean.

I'm sending Jim to Microsoft's booth at PAX to drool all over the XBLA version of the game, so expect more details (if there are any to be had) later this week.
