If I get to influence and help make the game better, piece by piece. So yeah, WOOHOO SONIC 4 EPISODE 2 IS LOOING SWEEEEET!
The Wii can not handle it, if WiiWare is carried over to WiiU there's a possibility of cross compatibility.
There are 4 zones, 3 acts each just like the first. That's 12 stages not counting special stages and final zone.
How is this doing nothing to prove it will be different when the only thing they're doing is changing stuff based on what the fans told them?
lame
We're due for a Billy Hatcher.
I actually argue this is exactly what they need. Say Episode 2 comes out and it sells well, but people have a common complaint about something minor in the controls (something Sega seems to struggle the most with when it comes to Sonic games). In Episode 3 they can address that instead of doing nothing as they would almost definitely do were it a disc release.
Very true. I all of Sonic 4 used the engine from the first game, there would have been nothing they can do able it. They can't just patch in new physics. I didn't hate sonic 4, but the physics really did stick out to me as a flaw after playing the classic 3 sonics (counting knuckles with sonic 3)
I don't see how since the level design, physics, music, and gameplay are still shit, and it's lacking features that were present in the series in 1993.
"The game works to acknowledge old school fans by bringing back the same brand of lock-on technology found in Sonic and Knuckles."
Hardly what fans have been asking for.
If they really want to improve, they have to come out with something solid, and actually make sure that there are no/very minimal glitches in the game. I still love that first level on Sonic Adventure; when I first bought the Dreamcast, I thought that level was so great. That is how a 3D sonic should be; in reality, there have been those moments, but Sega always rushes the full product and adds other mediocre game mechanics that bring the game down. They just have to make a solid game and I think people will complain less.
Hell I'm more excited for fangames than I am Episode 2. I know they are trying, but goddamn they (Dimps, the developers) don't understand what makes their design so awful in the first place.
Example of said fangame.

Also, I really like Sonic, but maybe it's time Alex Kidd makes a triumphant return to reclaim the SEGA throne! Janken fight!
So ill buy ep2 if it turns out to be a good game and will buy ep 1 if Metal Sonic uses ep2's physics engine
Personally I'm fine with the episodic releases, it's perfect for helping them with feedback, plus if these two episodes were one release it would've cost another $20 or so.
Also, to any close-minded person that complains about it not being able to be supported on the Wii, you seriously have absolutely no idea how hardware works. The fact that they re-wrote the engine for this installment is awesome enough, they'd have to either go back to the old engine, or write a third one just for the Wii, which would just be ridiculous.
