The first one wasn't awful but still repeated multiple mistakes that they must have known fans complained about (e.g. slinging you into death). I bought it when Microsoft were offering a deal that made it 800msp. That is basically what I'm looking at unless Ep 2 is just outstanding.

I'll try and find out -- the trailer shows a nebulous "PSN" moniker, but from what I can tell, it's PS3 only, sadly (there's no 3DS version in sight either).

Don't forget about Episode Metal. Everyone who has Ep 1 already installed will get to play through Episode 1 as Metal Sonic, seemingly with all the physics updates from Episode 2.
Nintendo's fault for having such awful limits for downloadable games. They have no one to blame but themselves. It's not your fault for buying something on the Wii, but if you had other alternatives, I don't know why you would have bought it for the Wii.
I enjoyed Episode 1(PS3) more than most. With that being said, I'm pretty excited for Episode 2! Bring it SEGA!
