There are two classic pieces of music that seem to make everything better. The first is, of course, "Yakety Sax." The second is the Ghostbusters theme tune. Either one of these tunes can turn anything into gold.
The above video demonstrates how Ghostbusters music can make the perpetually "okay" Advent Children into a classic. No need to buy expensive Blu-ray Discs! This video is now the only thing you need to enjoy the Final Fantasy VII sequel movie. I dare say it is the definitive version.

Can you imagine what it would be like if they somehow extended this video so that it transitioned into Yakety Sax while Cloud and company got chased by English policemen and threw pies at one another?
I think I need a cigarette, because I just came... to the conclusion that that idea is amazing! :D
Well, to be honest you didn't need to do much to make Advent Children better... aside from not watching it in the first place. :P
That was epic though. Ghostbusters for the absolute win.
And fuck anyone who says that's too long. If you can sit through those 10 minute bullshit Monty Oum videos you can sit through this for the whole length of the song.
@masterninja
Yes, there has. You can get both videos in one box set with a booklet of art and whatnots for less than $20 these days
What's up with the Advent Children hate? The fight scenes (except the Bahamut one) were completely awesome, which was the whole point of the movie. I could care less about the story. The story in The Transporter sucked too, but that didn't stop it from being awesome.
Very rare is the movie that can have a good story AND great action scenes. Terminator 2 is the only one that springs immediately to mind.
@Pacopaco:
Heh. Monty Oum is the fellow who made the Haloid and Dead Fantasy videos (look them up). Basically these overly complicated and long to the point of being boring fight scenes that while incredibly well done, were nothing more than blatant fanservice.
Heh, I saw this at the Con I went to in October. The video's totally awesome. I was talking with the girl who made this on youtube, pretty cool all around.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Who is Monty Oum?

(As are AC and GB on their own.)
Too long? It was the length of the song, guys. Come on, get with it.
And from the sound of things, I must be one of the only people to have actually loved Advent Children. Loved!
Maybe they didn't yet release them here in holland...
Has no one heard of Amazon?
I love your sarcasm.
