"In that sense, Red Steel is ultimately for the hardcore gamers. Sure, I can see a lot of non-gamers trying it out for the novelty value, and some of them might be so taken with the unique control that they stick with it. But this is still directed at longtime gamers. It's not an easy thing to play. But by the end of the first hour, I was hooked."
"Worldwide sales of Nintendo products are also obviously up. The total global sales figures 298.8 billion yen ($2.52bn), which is an increase of almost 70% over the previous year. The lions' share of those sales (124.4bn yen) came from Japan. North America contributed 92.8 billion yen ($781.6 million) to Nintendo's coffers, while Europe kicked in 24 billion yen ($203 million). Additionally, Nintendo made a bundle (24.1 billion yen) off its foreign currency investments, thanks to yen's globally weak trading status."
