Some hot Marvel vs. Capcom 2 art for you to check out photo

Remember that video Jim posted yesterday that featured Ryu and Wolverine going at it with the comic book backdrop in Marvel vs. Capcom 2? The art style was pretty sick and Capcom Unity was nice enough to upload the comic page that inspired that trailer. There's also an awesome wallpaper version of one of the panels that you can get here.

The art was done by Joe Vriens, who was featured on Art Attack Friday not too long ago. I'm glad that we're getting this extra art element with Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Capcom could have easily re-released the game with no new content of any kind ... MANGO SENTINEL!

This guy's art is terrible. I hope there is an option to keep Bengus's art.

What exactly makes his art terrible Fistful? I dislike the style myself but it is far from terrible.

So many people are going nuts for this game. It is available for Dreamcast, the original Xbox as well as the PS2. Or is it wrong to play on any console that is not current generation?

I guess if you already own a fight stick or pad for 360/PS3 and have no other consoles it would be a good buy. But for those like myself who still cling to their old console hardware and games this is nothing but a waste of money.

basically what I'm trying to get at is
Marvel VS Capcom 3. come on Capcom, you can do it. Just use all the revenue from re-released games and ports to buy that ludicrously expensive Marvel license again.

@Calamansi

I'm excited for it because I don't own any of the other versions and I love downloadable games. There is nothing wrong with older consoles but it is rather convenient having all your favorites on your main console.

One if the most popular fighting games of
all-time missing the most common element of todays gaming market. Online connectivity. It's the only reason people are getting a second or even third time.

You got it. I don't like it, thus I think it's terrible. If I have to specific, the characters are overtly beefy (wide). It's like someone took a proportional drawing and squeezed it down and out, like a fast-food hamburger. That strange focus on muscle makes them worse. They don't look realistically possible. How would they move with thighs the size of Tree Trunks (proportionally)?

His images lack depth, and fluidity. You can tell he doesn't know what he is doing. ANd on top of that, copy/paste isn't a viable art tool.
