No SOCOM 4 for you this year; Zipper Interactive, the game's developer, has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 title has slipped into 2011.
"While we're certainly aware that you've been looking forward to playing SOCOM 4 this year, we don't want to take any shortcuts," it said. "Instead, we want to deliver the best and most immersive SOCOM game we possibly can and we're going to use our extra time to do just that."
Based on my hands-on experience with the game earlier this year, it's already looking great, and works surprisingly well with PlayStation Move. Let's hope the extra time allows Zipper to make it even better.

From the video's i've seen and my previous experiences with Socom games I cannot fucking wait for this! i appreciate they're making it even better, but still, i wanna play this SOON!
Cannot wait to get more Socom in my life.
Rest assured that while you spend hours tinkering, installing, regediting and upgrading your PC, the rest of us "contard's" will just be throwing the latest games into our consoles and actually PLAYING them.
Also, everyone knows what PC gamers are really like...

But by the time it was launched in the UK it was a finished, polished, superb hardcore shooter game. (it was many months later)
Such a shame that the US release and all it's problems destroyed the games reputation and dirtied the whole franchise. If you or anyone still has it i'd suggest throwing it back in the PS3 and getting the latest update - it's actually pretty damn good.
Used to play Clan matches on there, and it was pretty frickin awesome if balls-hard.
