With the release of Left 4 Dead 2 right around the corner, maybe you're feeling like getting into the spirit.
How about this custom Windows desktop, designed to look like the HUD for Valve's first-person zombie killin' game? Using some ingenuity and the Rainmeter customization application for Windows, a person who calls themselves "UltraBE" did a pretty good of putting together a cool looking (and functional) looking homage to Left 4 Dead.
I think it's cool, but this is the Internet, so someone is bound to think it's lame. Think you can do better? Show up your custom game-related desktops in the comments or in a Cblog!

Maybe I'll give it a try sometime down the road.
Then I noticed that the healthbars represented stats and the timer is a clock. That's pretty damn awesome stuff.
