So would you call this a Left 4 Deadstop? photo

With the release of Left 4 Dead 2 right around the corner, maybe you're feeling like getting into the spirit.

How about this custom Windows desktop, designed to look like the HUD for Valve's first-person zombie killin' game? Using some ingenuity and the Rainmeter customization application for Windows, a person who calls themselves "UltraBE" did a pretty good of putting together a cool looking (and functional) looking homage to Left 4 Dead

I think it's cool, but this is the Internet, so someone is bound to think it's lame. Think you can do better? Show up your custom game-related desktops in the comments or in a Cblog!

Never heard of Rainmeter. But that's pretty cool. I'll go out on a limb and say it's awesome.

Actually that's kinda cool. I'd give it a try if I weren't so afraid to go out of my comfort zone as far as my desktop goes.

Maybe I'll give it a try sometime down the road.

My only issue is the actual image itself. It's as if "UltraBE" was on a tight schedule and at the last minute before the deadline realized he didn't have a background image yet... so he chose a random one.. that being a rooftop with only a handful of zombies. The fact that it's functional surely makes me want to eat brains and all that good stuff, but wouldn't it have been a lot better with a bg of a swarm of zombies/boomer mid-barf/tank mid-charge/ass-crack from zombie in mercy hospital/that naked mod of Zoey?

@Banana, it'd work with any screenshot, and several are apparently included, so that's alright.

At first I thought it was pretty stupid, just a Printscreen job with a couple of niggles.

Then I noticed that the healthbars represented stats and the timer is a clock. That's pretty damn awesome stuff.

I do actuly have a custom made Valve (Team Fortress 2 & Portal) wallapaper for myself however I wouldn't say it's better than this. I also made a Batman Arkham Asylum one but again, not as good imo.

Steam Wheel! LOL I like it but I wouldn't use it. I like keeping my desktop as clean as I can. But someone took the time to create it so I hope others enjoy his work.

As cool as that is, I couldn't do it. Having the actual gun in your wallpaper would make me want to try and shoot stuff.
