SNK also joins the PSN discount party photo

Yesterday both D3Publisher and NIS announced price drops on several of their PlayStation Store offerings to coincide with the PSPgo launch. Now SNK follows with a drop on their games.

All of the following SNK titles are set at a download-friendly $19.99:

  • Metal Slug Anthology
  • SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1
  • The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga
  • Samurai Showdown Anthology

What I like about all of these offerings is that you're getting multiple games for the price of one, as each of these are all collections. All seven Metal Slug games for $20? That's a steal by any standards.

We keep saying this, but again, Thank You to the publishers that are doing these price drops. They're greatly appreciated.

By the way, how is the PSPgo's d-pad? Does it play nice with fighting games- unlike the launch psp 1000? Is it overly digital like the GBA SP/DSphat or is it mushy like the DSLite. Or semi-perfect like the Dual Shock 3?

This is important for a lot of SNK games but I'm going to need it for metal slug high scores.

And do you realize how many acronyms, inter-case lettering, and subtitling the portable gaming market has going on? Makes me sick.

@16bitmonster: You're right. I picked up SamSho Anthology on ps2 when it was brand new for only $15 bucks, and KoF Collection for $20. I think the other two games were $20 as well. So, as Dale said, thanks publishers for doing these price drops. It's so great that you're finally having a sale on your downloads that match the original retails prices on these games. Oh, except for SamSho.

I'm actually relieved that they don't.
Their XBL netcode sucks. Most seriously.
