SMT: Strange Journey's free preorder poster photo

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey is so good that it has actually interrupted my Final Fantasy XIII game play sessions. I like it that much. It's the first can't-put-it-down RPG that I've played in a long time. Oh, and it's long. Holy crap. This is a DS RPG like no other.

If you're anything like me, you've already pre-ordered the game, which is set to release on March 23rd. If you haven't, now's a good time, as Atlus informs that there will be a limited supply mini poster by artist Kazuma Kaneko. It features the crew that you'll work with and fight alongside in the alternate dimension known as the Schwarzwelt. Mind you, this poster deal is a GameStop exclusive. Both online and in-store preorders are valid, while supplies last.

Even if you don't get the poster, you'll still get the included collector's box and soundtrack CD.

Look for my review very soon. Seriously, though: SMT fans, you have to get this game. If you liked Nocturne, you'll eat this up.

Already pre-ordered this alongside Infinite Space. Loved Nocturne, playing Digital Devil Saga 2 right now.

I was gonna get Sands of Destruction, but I'm just gonna pay these two and Pokemon Soul Silver off instead.

Sold, now I have a reason to pre-order instead of waiting for it to come out . But I think I'll go to a different location as the last time I pre-order a game at Gamestop they didn't give me the poster that I was to get with Muramasa, those jerks.

Is this the frist time Atlus has done a GameStop exclusive pre-order? I own a ton of their games and I never seen one before.

Does anyone know if this game would be good for someone who sucks at every single JRPG they've tried to play? :P

@pudge - I won't lie, SMT games tend to have a harder edge to them at most. More ore less, SMT RPGs tend to encourage to learn and exploit your the weakness of your enemies rather than melee your way through all of them. Exploit the weakness in Nocturne gain another turn to act, exploit the weakness in Strange Journey and demons that share your moral alignment (Law/Neutral/Chaos) will join in for an additional attack.

And the same applies to enemies if they hit your party's weaknesses. You gotta learn to defend and use buffs as much as you do play offensively.

If you want a good gateway installment to SMT, you may wish to try the series spinoffs SMT: Devil Survivor or Persona 4, both games will teach you the ropes extremely well.

No this isn't the first time Atlus has done a GameStop exclusive preorder. They also had one for Yggdra Union PSP which was the complete soundtrack for the game.

Atlus also had the artbooks for Persona 4 as a gamestop exclusive pre-order bonus.

I'll admit, my hype meter has diminished a bit in the last couple months, since I've already learned as much as I need to about this game, but I'm certain that will change once the release date draws closer, since SMT is one of my favorite franchises.

Oh, that Atlus. I've already pre-ordered this but I won't be buying it from GameStop. GameStop is the absolute worst when it comes to actually giving you your pre-order bonus unless it is a unlock key sent to you through email.

The mini-posters tend to be tucked away being the cover of the game itself. Unless some Gamestop employee can peel off the stickers from the cardboard box and not get you to notice, I think you're safe on your pre-order bonus.
