Hmm. Dunno about storylines... One thing that did me in for The Eight Pages was the lack of story. Made everything feel more anonymous & personal, but hell, if they get the story right, I'm okay with this.
No motherf'ing way... Slender does not deserve this. It was lame as hell. People who find Slender scary should play more ACTUAL horror games.
Slender is scary? Wtf. Are newborn kittens scary as well? Slender is nothing more than a fad that seeped its way into the cesspool that we call pop culture, got its 15 minutes, and now just needs to go away.
Am I the only one who didn't find the first one all that frightening? Not saying it to sound macho or anything, but it just didn't do it for me. It had great atmosphere and everything but it was hard to be frightened by something that looked so...bland, I guess. It's like watching an old horror movie and wondering why you were so frightened by it now that it looks so cheesy.

As much as I appreciate what this game is doing, I don't really get the terror behind Slender Man. Glad to see this is getting a overhaul though, the original was interesting, but it just didn't really give me the same scares as Amnesia did.
Damn, it's incredible how much more scary it looks now that the graphics look realistic. Can't wait to poop my pants!

Didn't we sort of come to a consensus as a community that bad graphics, and minimalist plots were more conducive to horror games because they leave more to the imagination or such? The HUD alone might ruin it IMO
Dumbest concept to make an entire game out of ever. It's a gimmick that's good for five minutes, not for a commercial product.

I will def pick this one up it if turns out right. Hope they keep it simple and don't cheeseball it up too much :P
The environment will defiantly beat out The Operators environments. I'll most likely end up getting both since one has a better solo story while the other just has a fun multiplayer. Can't wait for both, that's for sure.

I'm fine with the HUD, but I don't need to see the hand holding the flashlight. From the looks of the environments, it seems it's not being based directly on the landmarks from Marble Hornets that were used in the first game. I just hope it maintains the same feelings from the original.
I didn't find slender man to be scary. Mostly because the mechanic has been done a billion times before. Also the character design frankly is amateurish, no offense to those who enjoy the game.
We need more horror games like this; 1st person SUSPENSE horrors, pop ups and screamers dont cut it nowadays.

This could be okay. If they're going to make a story though, they'll probably have to change some of the core mechanics. The original was suited for short bursts of play, but a full game would just get frustrating if it worked exactly the same.
After seeing this comic before learning about the game, I'm not sure I can be scared by it anymore:

The fist game was scary when you didn't know what to expect. Once you did, it became tedious. I look forward to seeing if this game has more replay ability and any new tricks up its sleeve.
