Sledgehammer suggests it isn't working on CoD: Ghosts

Studio has its own project

Given its prior work on the franchise, it wasn't unreasonable to expect Sledgehammer Games to be involved with Call of Duty: Ghosts. That does not appear to be the case, however. "Congrats to Infinity Ward on [Ghosts]! Our team is heads down on our next project, but best wishes to the hardworking team at IW!" reads a tweet.

Before stepping in to co-develop Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 alongside Infinity Ward, the studio had a third-person Call of Duty title in production. I'm hoping Sledgehammer can return to the concept if for no other reason than to help break the monotony. More recently, we reported that it was hiring for a senior environment artist to work on the franchise.

So, something CoD-related is going on at Sledgehammer, and it's not (or at least not exclusively) Ghosts. That makes how many studios actively developing these titles? My head is spinning.

Max had his dumbest idea yet; handing the show over to me. What if more games had downloadable content voice packs the way they put Snoop Dogg into Call of Duty: Ghosts? What kind of celebrities would work for that kind of thing? The answers may surprise you.
Next week, Infinity Ward is set to drop two voice packs for multiplayer -- Snoop Dogg, and R. Lee Ermey. While Snoop's studio visit was previewed already, Ermey's wasn't -- it didn't even have a price or date confirmed, in fact. But now we know that it's going to hit at the same time as Snoop, on April 22nd for $2.99. Check out the video in full, and hear the iconic drill sergeant for yourself.

The new trailer for Call of Duty Ghost's second DLC pack, Devastation, is pretty standard stuff for the first few minutes. You know -- the typical overview of maps, lots of gunfire, and an Eminem track laid over it. Then you...
