In real life, sure probably incredible. Compared to Just Cause 2 where you're fighting the main bad guy while surfing on a nuclear missile? Less awesome by comparison.

Definitely completely disagree with this. The fact that you can't surf on a nuclear missile while fighting a main bad guy in real life, makes me shrug my shoulders. To come up with a story that could actually happen but still seems unbelievable, yet convincing.. that's good story-telling.
Anyway, I seriously doubt a cod story will blow me away, but w/e.
Welcome to me forever ago. I never got the attraction.
There's only so much you can do in a realistic military game. WWII, something modern day, MAYBE the little diversion into "5 minutes into the future", and even less so the little diversions into Vietnam.
I like my shooters to be sci-fi. I feel like there's a lot more the devs can do including developing more captivating plots and worlds.
Only to get put onto a Call of Duty game. Karmas a bitch.
Metal Gear Solid has taught me that great games are ruined by so-called great stories.
But seriously, I couldn't give a fuck about anything Call of Duty. I may be interested due to the talent (ex-Dead Space bromeisters), but they screwed over Visceral then proceeded to talk shit about the company (EA) that funded and supported such an awesome game.
see that's where you have shit fucked up. I don't want to be in the military. I want to ride in helicopters and shoot terrorists. If I do that in real life, I might die. Not as fun as a videogame.
Besides, if i'm dead, i can't play any more games! So what's the fucking point?
I made this account just to tell you how fucking stupid and narrow minded you are.
Some people that play these games probably would join the military, If they were old enough? Like c'mon Most people that play Military games arent even 18 yet. Thats why they play them. I am personally going to join the Marines when i turn 18, at the moment im only 15 so i play these games but i will join when im eligible. So next time you critisize people and ask stupid ass questions think about the reason why. Goddamn people these days are just fucking retarded.
I hope you know that this is the perfect instance of dumb little shits making decisions based military video games that glorify war.
Just be sure to perk your wobbly little mongoloid head up enough over the sand dunes to get your skull filled with hot lead, k?
You will be made to kill civilians, women, children, sent to a place where you have no right to be and be used as another cog in the American military machine. they're not fighting for "freedom" or "democracy" they're imposing their will on as much of the World as they can. You will also likely die! - and despite your username, you won't be a sniper, you'll be a grunt.
At 15 you've got your whole life ahead of you, don't throw it away. Find a woman, get married, have kids, get a job, just don't go signing up to the Worlds most dangerous terrorist organization.
I hate when children who play games think war is Call of fucking Duty. There's no respawning IRL.
Game - I'm way past done with CoD games, but if this one isn't just broken perk abusing, fastest to the trigger, arena shooting gallery bullshit multiplayer, then maybe I'll give it a shot. Can't be worse than MW2 can it?
Sure it had it's thrills, twists and moments, but those only served as shock value as literally everyone in the game was just a faceless pawn to move the un-coherent and remarkably confusing plot, even when studied in depth. I cared for noone and remembered only Captain Price and Roach because of how cool they are.
Yes, once you look into the plot it's deeper then it's seemingly shallow surface, but it's events are out of proportion and the reasons behind it can range from strange to ridiculous.
Then again, I wasn't impressed by any CoD game's storyline, though CoD4 is noted for atleast making the package coherent and respectable. And this isn't Infinity Ward, so hopefully they can pull something much different.
Other high-profile games like Bioshock 1, Biochock 2, Uncharted 2, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Dead Space, Assasin's Creed 1/2(?) manage to bring out storylines and characters I grew to like and, yes, even care about. For the money they'll be asking for and what they are hyping up right now, I expect no less.
But thats just me. People would still prefer the flashy cutscenes, sequences and mechanics, which I don't have a problem with.
Its just that I always see potential in CoD noone wants to tap into, and with missed opportunities like No Russian (Yes, it was devastating to watch at first, then you realize that you might as well be shooting at dummies), it shows.
