Nintendo wants you to know that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be worth the wait, promising that the game will be the company's biggest project to date. Yes, even bigger than Ice Climber!
"This is the biggest project that Nintendo has ever done, videogame wise," said Nintendo of America PR man, David Young. "A gigantic team of people have been creating this game for months, having put tons of hours into it.
"The great thing about Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword is that it's filled with content so as you're going through exploring dungeons from place to place you're going to find tons of different things to explore, see and collect."
Skyward Sword has taken roughly 100,000 years to develop, so I should hope it's been a huge undertaking! The focus on Wii U and NoA's almost total abandonment of the Wii this year has dampened my focus on the game, but my excitement to finally play it is recovering. I imagine I'll be rabid for the thing as we approach its launch.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I personally call bullshit... they touted over and over again that they were going to be making an effort to support the "core gamers" and what do they do ..... abandon their own console.
I did not fucking know that, and now my junk grew that much more in anticipation.
It's Grouse, as in the birds with the red thing on its head. Just like the one Grouse has.
Why would you want voice acting in a Zelda game?
Anyone in the US want to buy a sealed PAL Xenoblade bundle?
I have decided not to buy this game cause it no longer fits my needs, I mean where was this stuff 3 years ago when the game catalog was about the same? I am tired of playing Roshambo with Nintendo they can win, but I will take the last whack at their balls and while I understand that it is not the right thing to do I will start pirating and fan translating every game the USA did not get and enjoy them all for FREE, that right FREE
Ur dumb.
@Jim
Zelda exists separately from the non-existent games that sadden you so much. It's okay to make a positive statement without pissing all over it first. Is it a British thing to be anti-happy?
@scuffles
Their effort to support the core gamer is with the Wii U.
You are a weasel.
@jawmuncher
You are a politically correct zombie

I'll give you one kidney, two livers, and a goat's heart for it!
Take your stupid timeline and shove it up your ass, Nintendo.
Those organs would have to be high enough quality for me to sell on the black market/to a hospital/to a foreign restaurant. Unless retailers start accepting trade in's on questionably obtained organs.
I mean, maybe they do, I've never asked. iPods and livers are probably worth about the same these days, yeah?
Pick up the latest Game Informer. All the changes they're making to the Zelda is quite impressive.
I can't vouch for the kidney, but the goat's heart is in top condition! The goat seemed to be doing just fine when I took it from him.
One of the livers though kind of suck, but I'm pretty sure you could get a Mac if you barter well enough.
Pick up the latest Game Informer. All the changes they're making to the Zelda formula is quite impressive.
Then they have failed miserably, "Our old system is a failure so we are abandoning it but buy our new system because its going to be the tits!" is not exactly an attitude that is going to convince me that the WiiU is worthy of my interest or my money.
Where as a decent push on the Wii to show that they aren't just talking out of their asses would have likely cemented my purchase of a WiiU.
..... So far the only thing that the WiiU has show is that it will be on par with the other current gen consoles hardware, which won't help them when the next gen consoles come around. And that it will have the same cookie cutter FPS and non exclusive titles as the other consoles........ that's all well and good but I want decent games not cookiecutter crap I could get anywhere else....
Question: do you own an Xbox360?
As it so happens I do not, was never really all that huge into the Xbox. Tho I do own two copies of Steel battalion ..... always meant to pick up a second Xbox and set up a dedicated head to head Steelbattalion cabinet.
So politically correct/ Destructoids fetish with female link and spiderman
That sounds awfully expensive.
lol, Needlessly so.
