In 2011?
Damn. If you're still gaming on a PS3, after all the issues(shit ports, laggy online, PSN instability, PSN's lackluster library, PSN's hacking, PSN as a whole) then you really only have yourself to blame.
Guess that settles my Skyrim/Uncharted 3 dilemma.
I noticed my game save getting unusually big last night. Its at about 3805k.
I figured this game would probably prompt a red ring on my 360, considering Fallout3 "kinda" brought one on a few years back.
Maybe I should just catch up on these tightly designed Nintendo game I convinced myself not to buy :/
True that.
The whole mindset of not have a tight bugtest before releasing the game, that Bethesda shows EVERY SINGLE TIME, is a big problem for all buyers of Bethesda Games. But since they still have a raving following, no matter how badly bugged the games are ( I remember playing New Vegas on the side of those rome guys and that was a horrible broken mess) and get awesome reviews for it and are pre nominated to have the game of the year, who can fault them for not giving a shit?
People still use a 360?
In 2011?
Damn. If you're still gaming on a 360, after all the issues (disc read errors, laggy online, having to pay for P2P, 360's lackluster library, Kinect, overprice accessories) then you really only have yourself to blame.
See what I did there? lol
Still <3 you Gorescream.
I refuse to buy anymore games from Bethesda since my horride experience with Fallout 3 GOTY.
Altought I experienced no lag at all so far.
I cannot believe this is still an issue. Jesus.
That and the mod to make the world map like Google street view = awesome.
Bethesda have had this issue since Morrowind apparently, you would think they'd be able to avoid this like every other developer...
Nice to see that reviewers didn't care, it's not like they exist to help the consumers make the right choice or anything.
Almost every review I found was based on the 360 version of the game. Even Destructoid reviewed the 360 version. I'm sure if the PS3 version had been sent as a review copy, these issues would have been noted.
I've been playing on PS3 and only noticed lag after playing about 10 hours straight. I then realized that playing any game for that long probably wasn't the best choice, and grabbed a book. The lag is frustrating, but not a deal breaker for me. I'm still loving the shit out of Skyrim.
Actually, did any games site review the PS3 version? Surely this should have been noticed sooner, right?
Fernadette is spot on. The vast majority of the time, PR sends you the 360 copy. Even at times, when I've asked for the PS3 version, they've sent a 360 copy - if you don't give them any indication of preference, they send 360.
Actually take that back, had some lag and choppiness night before last just as I was going to bed, but that was after about 6 hours of straight play, so I didn't think much of it.
Still, unless I'm just somehow fortunate, this "issue" is greatly exaggerated. Starting my second character today... think I'll go caster this time. Destruction and Conjuration, primarily.
This has gotten ridiculous. I love New Vegas to death, but it suffers from the exact same problem, of which there were MILLIONS, that Fallout 3 did. New Vegas won't even exit properly on my PC, I have to stop the process with the task manager. Of course, it crashes every single time I play it, usually multiple times, though I've gotten so used to it that I barely raise an eyebrow anymore. And now, years after the release of Oblivion, they haven't fixed anything for Skyrim? Why not?
I appreciate the immense amount of hours they put into the game. I love games with a lot of content, that create a world where I go "what do I want to do today". But damn it, seriously, fix the foundation of your games before you start programming in the content. Especially if you KNOW exactly what the bugs are from previous releases.
just sayin... LOL
Also LOL at people bringing console war into this oh you internet people cant go one article without bashing
What else is new?
I wait for those goty edition not only to get the dlc cheaper but because it takes em about a year to properly patch their game up.
Good daggers are somewhat difficult to come by though, so I'd recommend dabbling in Smithing just enough to get to Elven. A couple of smith-improved, enchanted elven daggers will do you just fine.
I'm playing on 360, and it looks beautiful. People need to shut up and buy the one they want to play it on, and stop worrying about what everyone else wants to do. It's not like it is multiplayer or anything.
Out of all the fanboy comments yours is the most ludicrous. The most logical thing to say is that this is bethesdas fault. And I hope they never drastically change the dualshock design.
