I had forgotten about that, I was trying to remember the name weeks ago. Thank you for that Mr. Sterling.
Now, that's a game I'd like to see remade with current gaming technology.
If only we could get an Anniversary Edition the same way Halo CE got one.
People rag on this place and other video game outlets for selling scores or not having journalistic integrity or whatever and almost all the time that is a bunch of shit but not when it comes to Famitsu. You buy a good amount of double page ads from them and you can enjoy yourself a decent score.
Its not that I don't think it deserves it (they do), but I can't help but ignore all those bugs that Famitsu would have normally deducted points for. And yea, I know the bugs aren't limited to one platform, but -I think- they at least vary somewhat, in at least frequency, depending on where your playing it (like the PS3 versions big problem).
The way Famitsu reviews (1-10 point scores, across 4 reviewers, totaled up to 40) I can't imagine that none of them didn't take some issue with the way the game was released.
AND PICKING UP QUEST ITEMS BEFORE I GET THE QUEST. OR AFTER I CANNOT COMPLETE THE QUEST. I've got like 15 lbs. of junk taking up inventory space.
And sometimes when I enter an area the quests don't start right and unable to complete. But reloading the auto-save usually fixes it.
Would be nice if it was reciprocal, wouldn't it, assuming the comments on this story mean anything.
Just like in Oblivion, I will truly only get my $60 worth when the Japanese start making Loli waifu mods. Seriously, get on it Japan, you have no excuse.

They've given out a total of 17 perfect scores in the history of the publication, dating back to 1998.

opinions, you have some too.
the only glitch i've had was my hose getting stuck in a door somehow. The gates at Whiterun...somehow...had horse ass sticking out of them.
Moneyhats may be involved.
@Keres
Damn, beat me to it.

Why is everyone so surprised that Japanese people have the potential to like Western games? The game was marketed more than anything I can think of in recent memory, is it so hard to believe that Famitsu got hyped and people might buy it?
Oblivion did alright in Japan too if I recall, there are quite a few Japanese mods for it.
Seriously, you guys need to grow up.
Dude, we get it. You hate Skyrim and you love Skyward Sword. You constantly bash Skyrim, and you constantly praise Skyward Sword. Is there any reason you can't be happy for both games?
