The dragons are still flying in the right directions and mudcrabs still dance for you if you throw them some coins
One might even stumble around for hours without even having the slightest clue where to acquire more resources for one's house(s) or indeed even knowing where one can buy the new properties available or where one can find the new Housecarls and stewarts.
It's probably the most hardcore homemaking sim to date but I could be wrong.
@Syn: Nope. Children are invincible and cannot be killed let alone blended.
Apparently there are still only Nordic children. No Elves, no Orcs or Redguards, and certainly no Khajiits or Argonians available as children. When there were black children in Fallout 3 but none in Skyrim, Bethesda needs to stop half-assing everything and do it right. You can't even marry a Khajiit or Wood Elf because the devs left them completely out of the appropriate list. If you have seen Skyrim's bugs on UESP you will get my joke.
1) While much smaller than Dawnguard, it's fucking pathetic that this is the second DLC Skyrim has gotten, but the first one still isn't on PS3... and it came out 4 months ago.
2) I bet Microsoft is pretty pissed they spent all that money on the timed exclusivity for Skyrim DLC when Bethesda is so incompetent that it was basically made a console exclusive by default.
3) Wait a second, I thought Bethesda was done with useless Elder Scrolls microtransactions? WTF is this shit?!
@Faux Furry
Hate to sound mean man, and I really hope that was sarcasm, but I really had no problems finding out how and where to get materials without really any hand holding.. If anyone does then.. I don't know what to say about that.
And honestly, the game kinda does at least nudge at holding your hand - Absolutely ALL the information on how to find most of the stuff is in the book you get on how to "Homestead" (Making a plot of land into a home, not a REALLY old "do it yourself" webpage building site circa pre-2000) on the crafting table of your first plot of land. If people didn't read it, or the book somehow got lost.. then yeah, I don't know what to tell you.
All I know is I got my land, read the book real fast and I was off. Had the starter house AND the bigger manor built in well less then 2 hours. Only reason I didn't finish was because it was getting late and I wanted to watch some stuff on Hulu.
i have a hunch that they released Hearthfire early instead of a dawnguard size dlc, purely to troll microsoft, due to the backlash that was The Dawnguard Exclusive.
i feel sory for ps3 users, not even having Dawnsguard yet.
If all Bethesda had to do was release a half-assed $5 microtransaction to fulfill the exclusivity agreement with Microsoft, it couldn't have cost them very much. No way Microsoft would agree to something like that if they were paying out the ass for it. Microsoft can be a shitty company sometimes, but they're a wildly profitable business for a reason.
