The Creation Kit for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is here, which to me feels like we're only just at the very beginning of what the game will one day become. Steam Workshop is supported, allowing players to more easily view and install custom creations such as the above-pictured mod.
The promised surprise is none other than a high-resolution texture pack. Assuming you have the necessary hardware to handle the boost in visual fidelity, head to Skyrim's store page in Steam to download the pack for free. And if you've been waiting for the price to drop, the game is currently being sold for $39.99.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Please report on the absurd amount of time it is taking for Bethesda to fix the defective product that they sold to PS3 owners. If EA cant get away with promising bonus content like the BF1943 fiasco then Bethesda shouldn't be allowed to get away with selling a broken product to a third of their fans and receive nothing but praise because they made a creation kit. This kind of theft and negligence is unprecedented in the industry and deserving of ample coverage.
Love, Browneye
I payed for this product day one and three months(1/4 of a year) has already gone by where it is still unplayable. I was expecting bugs, game breaking saves, and a rocky road of patches but I most certainly did not expect the game to suffer chugs as low as 0-5 FPS after only playing for 15 minutes.
This should NEVER be acceptable or go unreported and yet its being met with nothing but GOTY praise.
It is theft, it is wrong.
Thus I implore Destructoid to echo these crimes.
In one "capture this stormcloak fort" instance, the game just ceased to present me with anyone to fight. Out of ten painstaking reloads, only twice did anyone appear, and in those instances as soon as I stepped through the archway of the fort, whoever was around would just suddenly disappear (despite the fact that I had already killed 80% of them), making the quest impossible to complete.
I might also mention that this was back in November; ie. about the time my fury became greater than my desire to play. And now, I, too, have a day one purchase of a personally beloved franchise sitting on my shelf, for no clearly defined reason. The situation has gone beyond unacceptable.

@TheNephilym:
Can you toggle it on and off by selecting texture quality in options? Or are you stuck with it if you install it?
I have the same problem, only before my game crashes, some of the textures turn super low res. I have been searching forums to see how to uninstall the DLC pack, but it doens't look promising.
Once the DLC is installed, Steam sees it as part of the game file, even if you uninstall and reinstall, I think the DLC reinstalls back with the main game.
In conclusion, :(
Thanks for the tip. :) Just in time too, cause I was just starting to get withdrawal symptoms.
You put the halo in cephalopod.
Seriously, the difference with this 3GB is MINIMAL at best. Absurd.
I've got a 10% off coupon also if anyone needs it.
That's what you get for buying the inferior console that gets nothing but ports. LOL
But I realize you're just being a nonsensical troll, as per. Carry on.
I don't know anyone that has the xbox version, but I always wanted to know, does the xbox version of Skyrim run like shit too? Or is it playable?
My friend had the same issue too. Turns out he had to do something really simple. You're supposed to sit on a couch while you play, he said he enjoyed it afterwards.*trollface*
No shit.
Im gonna keep on crowing about this bullshit in any Skyrim thread I see so get use to it.
