We've been covering the development of 2D fighter Skullgirls, currently being worked on by Autumn Games and Reverge Labs, ever since its debut trailer back in February of last year. Since then, we've showed you some delightful artwork, picked the brain of the game's creator and creative director Alex Ahad, given you some E3 assets to chew on and played an umbrella-wielding princess named Parasoul who's able to chuck balls of napalm at her foes.
Reverge Labs' Designer, Producer and Community Manager Peter Bartholow has shed some more light on what exactly the story in Skullgirls is all about with a new trailer, as well as revealing that the upcoming fighter will feature a tutorial, ranked and unranked online play, an arcade mode and several extra PS3-exclusive Trophies.
Peter Bartholow also teased the announcement of the 8th and final character, release date and price of Skullgirls so that'll be something to keep an eye out for.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm really not sure whether I'm going to download this right away or not, though this recent video isn't make that decision any easier.
Also the game might be good.
Does your best friend's mother have any Air Jordans for sale? Also, can she make my cock bigger with more stamina? These are the answers I'm looking for.
On topic, this should be a fantastic downloadable game. I'm hoping it's well-received.
Reverge has aspirations of selling a retail version in Japan, so they needed a big-time partner to assist.
Yet again, a Japanese game company is lagging behind an American development company on something.
It just doesnt look visually apealing to me.
A fighting game can be as good as it wants to be, if the characters doesnt look badass I cant relate.
I think, if reviews can woo me over, I'll probably get it on sale. Until then, KOFXIII and SCV to tide me over...

it's quality over quantity >_<
it's also a custom team , this can be 2v2 , 2v1 , 3v1 , 3v2 or 1v1.
I have to completely disagree with you on that. One of the main reasons I find this game so interesting is because of the characters themselves. Each one of them possess a very unique design; especially when it comes down to their appearance. May not be the best thing to base my excitement off of, but I have yet to be disappointed overall.
Personally, I've very happy to see the lack of Weskers and Akumas in this game. Every other fighting in human history is 85% composed of such characters. Gets damn boring after a while.
Other than that, I'm cautiously optimistic for this. It reminds my of CvS2.
