Oh wow, the SingStar patch is even bigger than the Domino Master title update. Today, Sony announced (via the PlayStation blog) a hefty update for the PlayStation 3 version of Singstar that is sure to keep you glued to your television set like a good little doggie the real music fan that you are.
Here’s the rundown in bullet point form (because I know you’re too busy belting out tunes to read a paragraph):
- You can now choose tracks through the song carousel by voice command.
- Thirty Trophies have been added.
- The SingStore and MySingStarOnline were updated allowing “quick song purchase functionality.”
The patch is free, so get downloading already. Be warned though: your neighbors can hear you screaming at your television. Seriously. They called me last night and told me to ask you to stop. It’s annoying, apparently.

Hot damn, I might need to purchase this before Singstar Queen comes out.
Hopefully “quick song purchase functionality” is actually an improvement.
Chronic Logic: The only thing that'd be more epic than a Boy George trophy is if they had a Rickroll trophy. Which now that I've thought of it I'm pissed that it wasn't included! I think I deserve something for the time and effort I've been putting into this rolling Rickroll of my upstairs neighbors.
And FYI, for anyone who would care and hasn't noticed on their own, the voice commands aren't available for download until Wednesday.
I'm happy for this update, voice command menus couldn't come soon enough.
