I imagine it's a licensing issue blocking the release on other home consoles. I'd prefer a PS3/Vita cross play deal so both camps get access.

Believe it or not, this is really fantastic news for me. I was just thinking about getting this on 360 earlier today, no lie. But I never play my 360 anymore, don't have a credit card linked to the account, and really didn't want to deal with all of that.

I am very happy it's coming to Vita, but why not PS3? And it would be cool if they showed the PC some lovin' too while they are at it.
I'm with everyone else, I'm going to raise some shit if this doesn't come to PS3. The reason being is they initially said it would come to PS3, you can't just promise us that and then release it exclusively on Sony's handheld.
