Sin & Punishment 2 will be disc-based, also downloadable game in the future photo

At Nintendo’s media event last week, Nintendo surprised us all with the announcement of Treasure's Sin & Punishment 2 for the Wii. Uncontrollable glee aside, S&P 2 looks pretty nice, but we were left to wonder how exactly the game was to be distributed. Recently, 1UP got a chance to visit Treasure’s offices and talk to the president of the studio, Masato Maegawa, who revealed that the title would be disc-based.

Apparently, Nintendo wants to keep the title behind its curtain for the time being, so no more details were revealed. Despite that disappointment, Maegawa indicated that Treasure would be doing a downloadable game in the future. What it is and what network(s) it will be released on is unknown.

I can't wait. Sin & Punishment is my second favorite downloadable Wii game (number one being Mega Man 9, of course), and judjing from that short trailer, this is gonna be epic. As long as Treasure doesn't go overboard with the waggle.

id take mischief makers 2 or a guardian heroes sequel thats more like castle crashers, less like advance guardian heroes. shoot id even settle for mischief makers on virtual console.

There is no way a game that big will fit on a WiiWare title.

I just noticed that it looks like they dropped the timer. That's good news.

@ SWPM;

Yes, we got news several days ago. I've made sure I downloaded the first game from VC, so by the time they release it, I should have played it. :O)
