In this latest trailer for EA Maxis’ The Sims 3, viewers will get acquainted with a bit of the personality involved in the game. Instead of the happy-go-lucky Sims we’re so used to watching (and taking to the restroom every five minutes), it appears as if Maxis is trying to appeal to our evil side. The side that removes doors and replaces them with a walls so the Sim slowly starves and wets itself to death.

The video begins by spotlighting a sneaky prostitute, who not only likes to work out, but enjoys the simple pleasure of thievery. In a matter of seconds, she is shown inside of a lavishly adorned mansion. While she’s there, she spots Leisure Suit Larry having a little fun with a maid. Then it progresses to her stealing a lollipop from a baby with telekinetic powers and eventually ends with a shot of the once dastardly beauty as a portly schlub.

There is no way to interpret this trailer than to say that Sims 3 will probably open new doors in terms of differing gameplay elements. Hopefully, this also means the end of having to babysit these babbling digital idiots. Instead, we’ll actually get to have some fun outside of watching them shower.

(in response to the title) I thought that's what The Sims is all about.

It does look much more interesting, but it also looks like I might need a new computer to run it...Shiny graphics and smarter AI's aren't all-that when you can't play.

Telekinetic Babies would be an awesome name for a band.

Also, you spelled Telekinetic wrong.

I'm not entirely sure that made any sense, nor if it was supposed to. And wasn't that prostitute doing that child a favor by taking away the expand-tronic lollipop? I mean, she really took a bullet for that kid there.

Also, the guy in the suit looks like Gomez from the Addams Family. R.I.P.

For some reason I'm excited for this game just for the fact that you can make extremely morbidly obese people.

I'm usually the first to say fuck PC gaming but this is 100% a PC game, there's just to much you can do with all the mods and console commands.

Wow I found that hilarious for some reason. I skipped over Sims 2 but will definitely be picking up Sims 3 if I have a new computer that can run the game by that time. Or, you know, the PS3 can has support for both the mouse and keyboard *hint hint nudge nudge*

Still can't see where telekinetic comes into it, but I saw it as thief steals lots of lollies from lots of babies, becomes fat. The end.
This game does not interest me, and that sneaking animation is atrocious.

So getting fat is now...AWESOME!? Is that what EA is trying to sell to us...lol

I'm sure I will end up getting it as my MG loves the SIMS ( I do play it once in a while with her)
