The release of The Sims 3 draws near, and here you have the commercial that will air on broadcast television leading up to the game’s out-of-control retail success.

To me, it’s kind of like what I’d imagine the end of the world to look like. In it, hundreds of Sims descend upon a city from a tall, grassy hill. It’s a stampede as a they race towards the town, pushing each other out of the way, and eerily morphing between looks as if possessed by demons. Then, they just mill around as if there’s no tomorrow. Some are near naked, others are looting homes. Some look desperate to hook up for the last time.

Yes, this definitely looks like the apocalypse. Or a frat party. Either way, I’m kind of looking forward to The Sims 3, which hits shelves on June 2.

Yes, it "looks" like a lot of fun, I can't "wait" I "wish" I was "playing" "it" right now.

Now lets see if anyone gets what I was going for. Overall it looks like alot of fun, being able to go anywhere in the Town with your sim at any point really is plus!

That pic would make an awesome wallpaper if it was bigger.

It would be kind of cool if you're able to make different scenarios for your town, like zombie infested as cho-knight proposes. :>

My laptop is on the fence with the specs they released... I'm afraid if I buy it, and it doesn't work, I'm screwed. I may have to "try before I buy" just because I don't feel safe spending $60 on a PC game that won't work on my laptop.

Amazing, as a long, long time sims fan, I'm just waiting for the inevitable release on PS3.

That above video has made me even more happy about playing the game soon.

Let there be torture and violence! Playing God has never been this much fun, a cruel and malevolent god.

Sad about the leak of this game, but when they leak out a month early it's kind of hard not to be pirated.
