Silver Dual Shock 3 coming to North America this summer photo

For those of you looking for something a little different for your PlayStation 3, this one's for you. 

A listing for a Silver Dual Shock 3 controller has appeared on EBGames.com. The retailer indicates that the controller will be shipping on June 24, so you might want to hold off on any Dual Shock 3 purchases. The price point, $54.99, remains the same as the traditional black controller. 

Anyone plan on picking one up, perhaps trading in some of those "so fall of 2006" SIXAXIS controllers and getting this slick looking silver badboy? What other colors are you waiting for?

There's a mom-and-pop game store where I live that already sells white, silver, and black Dual Shock 3s.

unassuming local guy- just about to say that, of my 7 or so PS2 controllers that color scheme is my favorite. Also, I don't know why I have so many PS2 controllers.

Don't need anymore controllers unless one of mine breaks. Silver is cool though, but I think I'd like to see more earth tone colors to go with the rest of my fung shueid furniture and....where am I? What happened?

Same with me, craigbezzle. I have a local store next to me that sells Japanese controllers in silver and white. All the packaging is in Japanese, but nothing on the controller is and it works just fine. Got it last year.

I've got one black and one white. I only play with more people every once in a while and they bring their own controllers.

These controllers are outragously expensive, so do what i did to get my dualshock 3 controllers, wait untill ur old ones break, then buy a dualshock 3, unpackage it, put the old controller in the packaging and return it to the store of purchas ( i recomend Target) and tell them its broken and they will refund you ;) works every time, I havent had to pay for a dualshock yet... I currently own 2 and I'm just wiating for my last Sixaxis to break, but I kind of don't want it to LOL

Dont really need a new DS3. I got one already and I got an original Sixaxis. Plus not may of my games have offline mutiplayer, and even rarer that its more than 4 people. So two is enough for me, maybe when my sixaxis breaks Ill get a silver one, but whatever is cheaper.

I want a new one, but I'm not paying 55 bucks for it. It'd make more sense to release a new color along with a price drop. That would have me buying one for sure.

The ripoff isn't the $55. It's that it doesn't even come with a charge cable.

I got my charge cables for $.89, but still, it's absolutely ludicrous it's not included.

I got one last year for about 40 quid from a local store.

Japanese one obviously.
If it's the same quality now as back then, it should be incredibly well made and sturdy.

You just need one or 2 original ones. when friends come over, I let them use the U$5 Logitech PC controllers. but yeah, I can see why someone would want them all to be wireless. They should have 4 different colors for whoever wants a full set
